Yup! Interesting question! I remember playing G-Force as a kid
I always wanted to be the second officer in the plane, I don't remember his name
I thought he was mature and well-balanced, not like the first
officer, the main character, who was always playing the cool-guy,
good-for-everything-and-adored-by-everyone but was really a
normal-guy-playing-the-cool-guy. The girl was definitely just an ornament, even
was dressed in pink, and I definitely decided that wasn't going to happen with
me! And never happened...
Of course men can cook.
But women have been traditionally tied up to their home's kitchens because they
had to be, besides of cooks: nurses, mothers, housekeepers, saleswomen,
administrators, counsellors and lovers for their kids & husband, and parents
and grand-parents (remember that before most people lived in extensive families,
I mean, not just parents&kids, but
parents&greatparents&kids&whatever).
How could a woman then become a chef (or chefin)? She had to work really hard to
cope with all those jobs! And
she had to do that at home, it was her duty! The only way for a woman to be a
chefin was to be the wife (or widow) in a family who lived in a
pension-hotel-inn-whatever-related-to-hoste(...) That's why there have been more
known chefs than chefins
But nowadays things are changing, because women don't want to be
"just" tied up to their kitchens any more...
cheza if by soul you mean an animal can be like humans and, thus, deserve to be
treated just like human beings, I don't agree at all; because if you think so,
for ex., you must be against having dogs as pets, since their nature can only be
developped in the wild, where they can run freely, stablish their gangs, have
puppies and chase every creature they want to; I mean, that's how they can
create a "dog life" got
the idea? And I'm talking about an animal quite used to living with
people...<_<
On the other hand, saying animals don't have feelings looks too hard specially
when talking about mammals, because they've got developped brains that help them
learn and act otherwise than instinctively... and that's where the
"soul" lies, I think, in being awarre of your existance and your
capability of learning and relating with the others... (in a positive or
negative way). But, my, you must be very careful with all these things, because
it's easy to mistake the care and responsability towards an animal who someone
ownes as a pet (and who'll never change this status) with the love for a person
or a group of persons that depend on you... You must be aware that these people
usually grow weary of this dependent status, they are aware that they depend on
you, and this relationship will only go on if there's some kind of retribution.
And that's where the "soul" shows itself, I must say, in the
relationships with the others: the interdependence.
I've read one of the pendragons' books. They're not bad, if you like slow
action, lots of looong histories, some battles and people with little common
sense...
If you want to try something strange, try some sandwiches with nutella and
sausage, or nutella and cheese... A friend of mine said it was disgusting...
until she tried it! Now she
says it's delicious
Maybe your birthday partys are too complicated, you people, because here in my
country I hardly know people who doesn't celebrate it in some way... Even my
parents get a bit depressed if there's no "happy birthday!" saying on
their day For youngsters, this is just a party to get presents and have fun
with friends, but for people older than teenagers a birthday is a good time to
gather around people who care for each. other, even if you've lost
every-day-contact due to work, studies, etc.
Isn't it good to know that there's someone who's happy you were born?
lol read through the signatures (well, not all of them...) and thats what would
happen if anime was banned.
It's incredible... I actually couldn't imagine there would be people who'd dare
to ask government to forbid anime But
these people... Do they think that everything is lollypop and butterflyes? Do
they think that animated films & series and illustrated stories (like manga
and comics) should be just done for little kids? What about adults that love
drawing and pictures? Should they just read/watch lollypops and butterflyes?
But what's the problem with them? Don't they teach their kids when to switch off
the TV? Or do they think the TV is a baby-sitter for kids and so every TV
programm should be like Winnie the Pooh?
If that was so, they should avoid also the news, and every documentary shown on
TV (think about lions' life, e.g.)
I don't think anime or manga should be forbidden. But maybe people should learn
to control themselves... (and thus, their kids). If these people can start a
campaign against Anime, maybe other people should start another one FOR Anime.
In an educational manner.
Mmm, a difficult decision! You're all such good wallers!
Well... here's my opinion:
1) Sweet Slumber by CuteSherry, looks kind of simple in contrast
with the rest of walls highlighted here, but it does has a lot of work and shows well the Eastern holidays
lazyness and that's very april-like, isn't it?
2) Countryside by Phamthuha, a wonderful spring wallie, the
mountains and cottages look like my homeland (only it's too sunny, my homeland
is rainy and cloudy most of the times ) and I love the sheeps
3) Burning Eclipse by Akira-san, caught my eye completely, looks so
sad and horrifying and still it's beautiful
Quote by tinpchanLoL, it's funny how a
lot of different animes share the moments where the males kick everyone else's
butt, and then get theirs handed by the girls.
hehehehe! Saw the series when I was very young, and had lots of fun, my brother
and sisters, just little kids, laughed a lot, too, my mother always shaking her
head as saying, "these romans are crazy"
Lately I got internet at home and discovered Inuyasha through internet, and
found out his author was the same as Ranma's... Awesome! "How did she
manage to create two products that were sooo good?", I wondered. Then tryed
to download some episodes from both series and... fell in love with Inuyasha's
gang and have a million burts of laughter with Ranma 1/2 again. That's why I
finally do recommend it for every anime/manga lover...
When I first saw this movie I just had to think a little while about it and...
then see it again. I was impressed by all the action and power that the
characters in this film have, I just wanted to be on top of the towers at the
small village at the beginning, then riding those wonderful animals, then
struggling for life... And what about that dark forest with the damp and so...?
Made me shiver all around... terrific and huge and beautiful...
Later on I saw Spirited Away, and found
it was another fantastic film by the same director of Mononoke Hime.
Choosing which one is better, for me, is quite difficult. Both have a dark side,
but while Mononoke Hime gets dark and
violent quick so that the message in the film strikes you from heart to head,
feet and hands, Spirited Away walks
smoothly all over it showing you beautiful pictures with colourfull countryside,
baths and sea as you follow Chihiro's light path, a sweet little girl in red
clothes... I adore them both. But I can easily understand people would rather
see one or the other depending on the focus they're used to, I mean, for ex, a
friend of mine prefers Spirited
Awaybecause she likes its colourfulness and says that Mononoke Hime is too violent and bloody, while
another friend of mine says he was impressed by the adventures the warrior in
Mononoke Hime was involved in.
I just entered here as I saw the question title, but then read that a comparison
with the new anime film by the same director is requested... and I must say I
haven't seen it yet, although I intend to do it . I had no free time when it was released where I live, and
then it went away
As for Spirited Away, in my opinion it's a beautiful tale, almost a legend, and
I think it can be seen by kids (who will enjoy all the magic and the little
Chihiro adventures) and adults, due to the subtle criticism of greedy,
consumism, materialism and defence of ecologism...Besides, the author plays
around with colours in order to make you feel what's happening in the movie, so that not only you get sad,
or happy, or rushed when Chihiro gets lost, meets friends or runs away: you get
completely involved in the story thanx to the atmosphere that Miyazaki manages
to transmit...
A wonderful film.
As for the other one... well, I'll let you know as i see it...
Quote by AvariSkyI think that maybe
orginally he had a light black dye, that just didnt dye on properly as result of
his blonde hair colour...sooo it ended up dark greenish?
Iunno, its just a weird little theory of mine. :P
Exactly what I was about to tell. But I'm afraid your friend should go to the
doctor in order to revise his eyes... Maybe he's got some daltonic problem...
Hahaha, you people are really crazy for anime!
Ok, ok, I am too . But
my family hates having "nonsense" hung on the walll or lying over the
furniture, attracting dust... So, I have lots of material inside
the computer, some drawing books and a handful of pictures kept inside a folder,
Oh, and I've got a Sesshomaru figure that my brother and sisters gave me as a
present in my last birthday! *+^_^*
I just think both are more or less the same, I mean, like storyboards ,

And the background is well designed and accurate not only to the Time where the
action develops, but also to the atmosphere required for each character, and her
thoughts/feelings. That's why I'd rather read some manga than super-hero
comics...

Hi there!
I've just seen the whole 167 InuYasha episodes + 4 OVAs, and (after surfing the

So, let's talk... what do you think about Kagura?

I'm sorry but I don't agree. If you read the manga (in the anime series you can
only guess and very slightly) you can see that Sesshomaru is more attracted to
girls that can look after themselves and even puzzle him. I mean... has anybody
seen, REALLY seen, how he treates Kagura?
Rin is just a pet for him. Something funnier than Jaken, and it's also a way to
understand his half-brother. I mean, he doesn't care about this hanyou who ownes
his father powerful sword... of course... but Sesshomaru feels intrigated... why
this stupid fool of InuYasha keeps on mixing with humans, like his father, his
great and admired father did? Rin is a human, but not old and big enough to be a
danger for him or his interests, and moreover, she's a girl who follows him
wherever he goes, never discussing her decisions or making questions, as Jaken
does (and that's annoying); Seeshy poses the Great Powerful Demon Son Of A
Powerful Demon but nobody pays attention to this, but runs before him and stays
silent... (or know nothing about him... but they know well InuYasha's
movements!) Rin does admire him, and he needs her admiration .
When Rin becomes older, if she falls in love with Sesshomaru, I don't think
he'll like it. Probably he'll leave her behind. She`s just a pet.
The question is, do you think Rin will fall in love with Sesshomaru? For her, he
is not a father, nor a lover (she knows he's extremely dangerous), but an
invincible dark guardian angel...
Quote by merelieerm, Kikyo. How to say
this? I don't particularly hate her. I just don't get her at all. She obviously
cares greatly for Inuyasha, yet she wants to hurt him. It really doesn't make
any sense. She's kind of on their side, and kind of not. I wish she'd make up
her mind.
I totally agree. Besides, she's DEAD, and she'll never become alive anymore, so
she just wanders and wanders feeling sad, hating InuYasha+gang and VAMPIRIZING
other dead women's souls in order to go on wandering and wandering feeling sad
and hating the world forever and ever, so why you people say she's so smart?
She's just selfish, evil and dead. She just has a "goodie" side
because she remembers being a miko, and got his powers from Kagome's soul.
Reincarnation? Maybe their souls are connected, but the whole series show how
different they are...
InuYasha can't stay with Kikyo because she's dead and wants him dead. And Kikyo
has been always interested in her miko being, caring only for killing demons...
that's where her stregth lies/lied on, and that's why her powers awakened and
Naraku could trick her in order to 1) kill her, 2) make her hate InuYasha and 3)
steal the Shikon no Tama. Kagome has never been a miko, although she lives in
the Higurashi temple and her grandfather is the priest in that temple. She knows
what being a miko involves, but she's just a teenager, that's why she cares
about people, not demons, she's perfectly alive, and she has proved her faith
and love for InuYasha and all the gang many times. She even cares for Kikyo (but
she doesn't love her, she just cares for her because she knows she's important
for InuYasha: that's a kind of respect that Kikyo will never understand), and
that shows everybody the kind of person she is. Besides, she
"educates" InuYasha, who is a bit of a brave mutt and really needs
some education.

Rin is a human, but not old and big enough to be a danger for him or his interests, and moreover, she's a girl who follows him wherever he goes, never discussing her decisions or making questions, as Jaken does (and that's annoying); Seeshy poses the Great Powerful Demon Son Of A Powerful Demon but nobody pays attention to this, but runs before him and stays silent... (or know nothing about him... but they know well InuYasha's movements!) Rin does admire him, and he needs her admiration
.
When Rin becomes older, if she falls in love with Sesshomaru, I don't think he'll like it. Probably he'll leave her behind. She`s just a pet.
The question is, do you think Rin will fall in love with Sesshomaru? For her, he is not a father, nor a lover (she knows he's extremely dangerous), but an invincible dark guardian angel...
I totally agree. Besides, she's DEAD, and she'll never become alive anymore, so she just wanders and wanders feeling sad, hating InuYasha+gang and VAMPIRIZING other dead women's souls in order to go on wandering and wandering feeling sad and hating the world forever and ever, so why you people say she's so smart? She's just selfish, evil and dead. She just has a "goodie" side because she remembers being a miko, and got his powers from Kagome's soul. Reincarnation? Maybe their souls are connected, but the whole series show how different they are...
InuYasha can't stay with Kikyo because she's dead and wants him dead. And Kikyo has been always interested in her miko being, caring only for killing demons... that's where her stregth lies/lied on, and that's why her powers awakened and Naraku could trick her in order to 1) kill her, 2) make her hate InuYasha and 3) steal the Shikon no Tama. Kagome has never been a miko, although she lives in the Higurashi temple and her grandfather is the priest in that temple. She knows what being a miko involves, but she's just a teenager, that's why she cares about people, not demons, she's perfectly alive, and she has proved her faith and love for InuYasha and all the gang many times. She even cares for Kikyo (but she doesn't love her, she just cares for her because she knows she's important for InuYasha: that's a kind of respect that Kikyo will never understand), and that shows everybody the kind of person she is. Besides, she "educates" InuYasha, who is a bit of a brave mutt and really needs some education.
Conclusion: Kagome up, Kikyo K.O.
Hahaha, an interesting question...
I'm listening "BarralÃÂn" from Tejedor, a spanish group of Folk Music...
You're right. Sheqel will probably come round here very soon...
