golden colours, it's normally red, pink, blue or even brown (when trying to give
the whole an ancient photo effect). And although the scan is quite simple I
think you made a very good choice, goes to favs! ^^
I really loved the colours you used here, and those watercolour effect is
reaaally beautiful. I find it all matches very well with the rainy atmosphere

with the colours to communicate the feelings in this scene. The original was
plain description, your work is something else. I like it a lot.
What first caught my eye about this picture was the angle, very original, but I
also like a lot the char and all the gorgeus work in the bg.

shape in the bg, but I don't know Tales of Phantasia, what is it about?

summer I don't know the series, but now I'm getting intrigued... Nice
choice of colours, it's beautiful the liveliness you can communicate with just
different shades of blue! ^^

No wonder why this image is in the elite gallery: it's a beautiful wallie.
The character position and expression looks very attractive, quite original , as
when collecting powers the chars usually seem concentrated or raging, while this
girl just looks pityful (as if she really didn't want to hurt what/whom she's
looking at and was forced to ).
However, I agree with phamthuha that she
looks a bit blurry. And besides I think I'd add some light effects on her, due
to the luminous magical powers gathering around her due to the spell she's
casting...
As for the bg, you've chosen a good material to make the wood and stone of the
building (a huge cathedral, I bet ), but
they look too sharp in contrast with the character, which brings the bg forward
and makes it all a strange effect , because we can clearly see, thanx to the angle of the image, that the window
is closer to us than the wall...
I like a lot the way you used that alchemist circle, making it look like a ring
of stars that come from the char's hands; great idea!
